49064 v3 has 10x View Distance enhanced option,
It should be up on the download server in a few.

    Hi Xabora,

could you tell me why the options.xml file use the Change: 49409 version instead of the current game version ? I'm the author of the updater tool so im currently try to figure out the behavior of the different version no.

    thx

    As weird as this sounds,
The version number of the file your are replacing has to match that of the original file.
Hence why mine is 49409 and not 49064.

You can try manually changing it but conan will throw you an error.

Any chance you could give us a quick heads up on what each option does exactly?

I normally have what they do in their own respective tooltips ingame.
But I'll post a few here.

On Screen Messages - Black Bars, control how many are on screen, fade in, fade out, time to live on screen. (Set the latter 3 to 0/Off and never see a message on screen)
Chat Line Limits - Controls how many messages are stored by the chatbox. 'nuff said
Splash Screen Fade In/Out - This is for the load screens the fade out is how long aoc takes to blend between the splash screen and ingame before you can begin to move.

The only reason I installed this mod was so that I colud increase the view distance - sadly, however, I can't seem to make that work.

I copied the file to the appropriate directory, and the enhanced options GUI does indeed appear in game as expected. So far so good, mm. But, setting the view distance to 500 equals to setting it to 50, and setting it to 35 000 gives the same view distance as 3 500, the default max. So, the slider shows that the value is 35 000 when I slide it up to max, but the view distance is in fact no longer than 3 500.

Also, I tried copying the MainPrefs.xml to the customized dir, as that's where the value is stored, but that didn't help either.

If there's anything I can do to help you investigate why I have this issue, I'd be glad to help!

    Sorry about responding so late.
My curse.com account is really messed up.

The camera tool is pretty much out of my hand, the resource that uses the camera varibles prolly does not take it into consideration so you may not see anything from it.

It sometimes resets. (Again out of my power)
If the value is 3500 or less it generally does not happen but it can happen above 3500. So you may need to reset it once in awhile.

    As of right now,
No as messing with the variable seems to have no change. :/

And looks like I forgot to remove the camera distance slider from 1.3.
I'll make sure its gone in the next version... was kinda rushing to get this out. >_>

Thank you for this mod (and subsequent updates) ; lots of interesting settings to mess with, for those of us both with high-end and low-end systems :). Enhanced max. distance rocks!

You may want to check your settings or hit Default Settings button.<br>
This should reset it and you can alter your settings to match what they were previously.
